Before we dive into how to reset Chrysler Uconnect®, let’s talk about some things to consider. Sometimes rebooting your system is necessary, but a full system reset can cause some inconveniences along the way.

How to Reset Uconnect®: Soft Reset

If you’re driving a newer model, you can perform what’s known as a “soft reset” to get your Chrysler Uconnect® system back into good working order. Here are the steps:

• Park the vehicle and put it in “Run” mode.
• Press and hold the volume and tuner knob buttons for 10-20 seconds.
• Watch as your display screen flashes and then goes dark.
• A message will appear on the display screen, and then it will flip to the Uconnect® default.

How to Reset Uconnect®: Hard Reset

Sometimes the soft reset doesn’t do the trick. And if that’s the case, consider performing a hard reset instead. While this will reset to factory defaults, sometimes it’s necessary to get your infotainment system going. • Press and hold the temperature up and down buttons for five seconds.
• Scroll on your display screen until you see the option to reset to factory settings.
• Wait 30 seconds as the system resets completely.
