What are the Features of the HEMI V8?
The legendary HEMI V8 is back for the 2026 Ram 1500 lineup, and it’s better than ever. You’ll find it in a wide range of trims, including the Tradesman, Big Horn, Express, Warlock, Laramie, Limited, Longhorn, and even the Rebel later on. What makes this HEMI stand out is its available eTorque hybrid system, a class-exclusive feature that helps boost both performance and efficiency. Instead of a regular alternator, it uses a motor generator and 48-volt battery to deliver smoother start/stop action, regenerative braking, and up to 130 lb-ft of extra torque when you first hit the gas. The V8 also has smart features like variable valve timing, cylinder deactivation, and a high-powered electric cooling fan that only works as hard as it needs to.
